SDO 2008 has selected "Design is AIR" as its theme and will discuss and explore
the existence of design which has a likeness to air; air is always near us, but never reveals itself,
and is deeply connected to the lives of people and nature.
SDO will also look into design as an energy that coexists with nature¡¯s elements of earth,
water and wind. Just like air that flows through empty space, design can be referred to
as the energy of life that flows through
people's lives. Design in the 20th century was referred to ¡°earth¡±, and now design
in the 21st century is ¡°air.¡± Digital technology of the new century goes beyond the
boundaries of material and non-material and unfolds a new world of connectivity and
convergence. At SDO 2008 one can enjoy design as easy as breathing air.
Comprised of
Newly discovered talents and invited designers will exhibit innovative designs utilizing
the characteristics of materials used,
overcoming the boundaries of media, engineering, and design.
An exhibition by world class designers, a green design exhibition, and interactive
design works present the vitality, expansion, convergence and endless energy of a new world of design.
Items will be exhibited under the themes of Text Garden, AIR Garden, Love Balcony and New Air.

We will appeal to reason of spectators and emotional imagination.
Our first experiment starts from give heterogeneous imagination to variety and
complicated relation. And we observe it and deliver new and meaning experience to
spectators by audio-visual design solution.
Finally we¡¯ll experiment positive and ameliorative possibility that
are not general product
design but appeal to imagination. We¡¯ll find positive possibility from
these experiment
and outcome that means ¡®improvement and recovery¡¯. And we¡¯ll give more
variety and
pleasant imagination to our design installation.
